EDIT: Added "What does _____ mean?", "Why was my deviation declined?", and "Should I remove my deviation if it's been purchased?"

Hello all! We have just recently decided that we should try and put up a FAQ, or Frequently Asked Questions. What we need from you guys, is questions you think should go up on it (please make sure before you put down the question it hasn't already been listed). And if you want, you can help contribute in an answer (keep in mind not all answers will be added, but are appreciated).

Some obvious questions and answers I and others have already come up with:

:bulletpink:What are adoptables? How do they work? Adoptables are character designs that are sold for some type of currency (points, money, etc), or even free or traded with something else. Usually the designs are more than two colors. When someone posts an adoptable they state how much they want to sell it for and if someone contacts them saying they wish to buy the design, once they send in whatever the price was they may use the design however they please. (However, a lot of adoptable sellers will have rules included with their adoptable.)

:bulletpink:How do I submit adoptables? The same way you submit a deviation. You create a design that you wish to sell, give away, etc, and upload it. Maybe add some rules and state what you want for it. Note: Adoptables aren't always taken right away and some aren't ever taken.

:bulletpink:I accidentally submitted to the wrong folder! (not question format but I'd still include it here.) If you withdraw your adoptable, it will be removed from the submission process and you may submit it to the correct folder.

:bulletpink:Do I have to draw an adoptable digitally? No! Not at all. Traditionally made adoptables are welcome. Same goes for digitally made adoptables, of course.

:bulletpink:Can I submit ____ adoptables? Whether they're egg adopts, auctions, closed species adopts, or something else related to selling a design chances are is that they're allowed. If you're still unsure feel free to contact the group.

:bulletpink:What does ____ mean? This question is for those who are unsure what YCH, OTA, DTA, and custom adopts mean. YCH stands for Your Character Here. A YCH is usually a sketch of a pose that is sold and whoever buys it, may get their character of choice drawn by the artist in the sketched pose. YCHs are not allowed in the group. An OTA stands for Offer To Adopt which means, as in the title, you get to offer something for the design provided. DTA stands for Draw To Adopt which means if you draw the character, you have a chance of getting the design for yourself. Usually Draw To Adopts are not first come, first serve. Custom adopts are like commissions, in a way. Someone opens up custom designs or custom adopts for a certain price and whoever buys it will get a design specifically created just for them. Custom adopts are not allowed in the group.

:bulletpink:Why was my deviation declined? There could be many possible answers to it, but usually when a deviation is decline there will be a comment stating why. Such as, you submitted to the wrong folder, we don't allow what you may have submitted, and things like that. If you're still unsure and you know for certain you haven't receive a comment saying why but your deviation has been decline, contact the group with the link of your deviation.

:bulletpink:Should I remove my deviation if it's been purchased? Yes, please do! If you don't it's not a big deal, moderators will get to it and remove it themselves, but it's a big help whenever you do so that it's one less deviation to remove and helps open space in folders faster.

That's all I've got so far. I'll add more as more questions/answers are provided.

Just a friendly reminder to those who haven't checked, or are new to the group--we do NOT allow journals, YCHs, species guides, customs or custom/commission information, or maker adopts.

If any of the above are submitted, they will be declined, and the appropriate action taken. If submitted once, you will receive a warning. If submitted twice, you will receive a 3-day ban. If submitted a third time, you will receive a permanent ban.

Please understand that as a group, we have the right to our own rules and if member do not respect them, they have full right to leave--there are plenty of groups out there that accept what we do not. (:

Hey everybody! Flamin' here. After some deliberation, the administrative staff have decided to create a Donation Account in order to help this group go super!

The donation account is AdorAdoptsDonations and will be accepting donations of all sizes in order to upgrade the group! The administrative staff will also be posting exclusive adoptables through that account to raise money for the upgrade, so watch it for a chance to help out!

When we've raised enough points for the Super Group upgrade, we'll continue to use the account to fund Group Contests prizes.

We will also do Weekly Adoptable Features, which you can have a place on if you donate a certain amount (which we aren't sure of yet, but may be 100 :points:, 500 :points:, etc.) and may also be tiered based on how much you donate.

Watch the new account!

Russet here!

Over the last few weeks I've been thinking about our consequence systems and policies for rule breaches. So, I've developed a new system (don't worry, it's not too complex), and I'd like to try it out with the group for two weeks.
At the end of the two weeks, I'll be asking the Admin and some of the members for some feedback on it and how they like it.

So, here it is:

The system would include our rules being split into three groups: Yellow, Orange and Red.
They would be displayed as seen below.

:bulletgreen: GENERAL RULES :bulletgreen:
:bulletyellow: No spam on the Group home page or in Group Notes! This includes "hellos", "I'm New Heres" and "Buy My Stuff!"
:bulletorange: No journals (Except for our own) are permitted in the group, even if they advertise adoptables.
:bulletorange: No Maker Adopts are allowed in the Group. Whether the Maker Game's creator has allowed them to be sold or not is irrelevant, we DO NOT accept them.
:bulletred: No bullying, harassment or blatant abuse of any deviant will be tolerated here.
:bulletred: No Tracing, stealing designs or identity theft. We will not tolerate it.

What do the coloured bullets mean you may ask? Well, they represent the three different offence levels.

Breaching a yellow bullet rule results in an informal warning, but NO STRIKE against you will be recorded.

Breaching an orange bullet results in a formal warning, resulting in a strike against you which will be recorded in our group records.

Breaching a red bullet is an automatic ban UNLESS the person can give solid evidence as to why they're not guilty (Hacked, consent from artist to use work, etc)

And we'll of course, keep the 'Three Strike' policy we already have.
  One strike: Warning
  Two Strikes: Three day Ban
  Three Strikes: Permanent Ban

What do you guys think? The reason I want to change it is so that we can post a journal with the rules and how they're dealt with is so that members can have a visual guide to refer to. That way you'll know exactly what happens with each rule breach.

So there you go everyone. It's relatively the same as before. the main difference is that we're now acknowledging that some rules are worse to break than others.
I hope you like the new system.

I'll happily answer any enquiries you may have below.

Thanks for reading,

Hey guys!

We're making a few minor rule adjustments to make the Group more efficient and easier for people to find designs.

Part of this will be banning maker adopts. Members who have been with us for quite some time will remember they were banned when the Group first started and have only been accepted for the last 6-8 months or so.

We're returning the ban because we feel that maker adopts aren't really original, and can be very easily copied since someone can claim that they hit "random" on the maker.

Whether the Game Maker's creator has given permission for their sale or not is irrelevant, we simply do not allow them.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to you, but there are many other groups who will accept them.

Thank you everyone,

~Russet
